Top 5 Limitations of ChatGPT and Why SEO Does Not Recommend It?

By

In the recent age of evolution, we see constant upgrades and new methods introduced to simplify the content creation process. Open AI has made significant and evident footprints in Digital marketing by bringing in its advancements with multiple tools developed to elevate the content creation process drastically.

ChatGPT is a “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”, an Open AI tool that develops text in seconds. ChatGPT is a text-based conversational AI tool that produces all types of content, specifically large forms of text, by carefully analyzing the words used to develop a well-written piece of work.

It is a tool designed to comprehensively develop meaningful content like articles, stories, and text into appropriate words transforming simple ideas into relevant text. It is famous for its human-like ability to generate text, making it useful in many types of communication:

  • Chatbots (Conversational patterns)
  • Language Translation
  • Content generation
  • Story writing, the long form of content

The benefits and usage of ChatGPT are enormous and satisfying. It saves time and develops written content in its best form. But while we speak about its abilities it has also transformed and encouraged us to create written content in no time. However, while ChatGPT has impressed and driven many marketers through this process, it has its limitations.

Top 5 Limitations of ChatGPT –

1: Non- Trustworthy:

ChatGPT could not provide correct answers to the questions in a few cases we see, thereby limiting it to its smooth usage. It cannot decode and adapt to specific inquiries, providing wrong and irrelevant text. Using or trusting this AI model can be risky sometimes as it can’t be relied upon with every piece of the information supplied by its generating results.

Example:

2: Fails to Grasp Emotions:

Imagine writing something based on emotions and an article providing the number of deaths in the city or writing a blog on a serious and touchy subject. In such a case, this AI tool fails to grasp and provide text or answers relevant to its topic directly, limiting it to a human possibility to develop written content that touches emotions and feelings.

Example:

3: Limited, Timely Information:

One needs help finding every possible information on ChatGPT as it is limited to timely information. It supports and provides limited data on world happenings after 2021, which means it cannot provide knowledge on topics of current or future occurrences.

Example: The tool itself says it has limited information after 2021.

4: Lacks Critical Knowledge and Reasoning:

As ChatGPT is only an AI model tool, it needs to think like a human who can distinguish data or retrieve new information. It can only state and perform based on the data fed to the tool, which is the past data containing knowledge from the past. However, unlike an AI model, humans can produce new and updated information and think widely.

Example:

5: Monetization Challenge:

Currently, there is no monetization coming from ChatGPT as it is a free tool. However, monetizing it will be a great challenge even in the future. Because if charges are taken to use ChatGPT, it will reduce the tool’s adoption, hampering its market growth.

Example:

Is ChatGPT Recommended from an SEO Point of View?

The answer is “No”. It is not recommended from an SEO perspective as AI-generated content can easily be detected by google algorithms resulting in not making the content rank. Such type of content which is auto-generated content violates Google’s recent guidelines formulated, which prohibit non-human generated content. It purely supports the content written by a person in search results.

How does One Detect if Certain Data is Processed by Open AI’s Tool or Written by a Human?

AI content detector application helps one detect the source of information that is auto-generated by a tool or with human skills.

While human-written content appropriately covers emotions and humour, an AI must draw proper context matching the content.

Step 1: There are many ways to detect the source of content from multiple applications and tools.

Step 2: Paste the content you want to check, and it will immediately detect its form.

Step 3: If the content is AI generated, it will be 0 or a minimum percentage under 10% in the tool.

Like every other tool and application, ChatGPT’s drawbacks limit it from its full potential. However, it will keep improving its skill by enhancing content and providing relevant text precisely with careful analysis.

At Impulse digital, we carefully note every modern and recent upgrade in Digital marketing, making the content creation process more accessible, better, and more fruitful.
